Bengaluru (Karnataka) [India], August 25: <\/strong>HCG Cancer Centre, Bengaluru, successfully hosted the second edition of the\u00a0Sarcoma Strong 5K Walkathon\u00a0<\/strong>today under the theme\u00a0\u201cRight Step First Time.\u201d<\/strong>\u00a0The initiative aimed to raise awareness about sarcoma \u2013 a rare and often underdiagnosed bone and soft tissue cancer \u2013 while encouraging proactive health screenings for early detection.<\/p>\n

Over\u00a01,500 participants,<\/strong>\u00a0including cancer survivors, caregivers, students, healthcare professionals, walking clubs, and fitness enthusiasts, came together to walk for a cause. The 5-kilometer walkathon flagged off from HCG Cancer Centre, KR Road, that passed through Cubbon Park, Chinnaswamy Stadium, Vidhana Soudha, and KR Circle, before concluding at hospital premises.<\/p>\n

Through initiatives like the Sarcoma Strong Walkathon, we want to change that narrative.
